چکیده
ABSTRACT In this paper, we quantify the ability of multiple measurements high-redshift quasars to constrain several theories modified gravity, including Dvali–Gabadadze–Porrati braneworld scenario, generalized Chaplygin gas, f(T) and polytropic Cardassian model. Recently released sample 1598 with X-ray ultraviolet flux in redshift range 0.036 ? z 5.1003, as well a compilation 120 intermediate-luminosity radio covering 0.46 < 2.76 are respectively used standard probes at higher redshifts. For all considered gravity theories, our results show that there is still some possibility ? cold dark matter (?CDM) scenario might not be best cosmological model preferred by current quasar observations. order improve constraints, data also combined latest observations baryon acoustic oscillations, which strongly complement constraints. Finally, discuss support given applying different information theoretic techniques like Akaike criterion, Bayesian Jensen–Shannon divergence.

Probing scalar tensor theories for gravity in Redshift-Space
We present measurements of the spatial clustering statistics in redshift space of various scalar field modified gravity simulations. We utilise the two-point and the three-point correlation functions to quantify the spatial distribution of dark matter halos within these simulations and thus discern between the models. We compare ΛCDM simulations to various modified gravity scenarios and find co...
متن کاملHigh - redshift obscured quasars
Using mid-infrared and radio criteria, we select a sample of candidate z ∼ 2 obscured quasars. Optical spectroscopy confirms about half of these as type-2 quasars, and modelling the population suggests 50-80% of the quasars are obscured. We find some flat radio spectrum type-2 quasars, and tentative evidence for obscuration unrelated to the torus. Using a similar sample, we also find evidence f...
متن کاملProbing the Hard X–ray Properties of High-redshift Radio-quiet Quasars with Asca
This paper reports the X-ray spectral analysis of 5 high-redshift (z≥2) radio-quiet quasars observed by ASCA. A simple power law continuum plus cold Galactic absorption model well fits all the spectra (tipically between ∼ 2–30 keV in the sources frame). Neither the X–ray spectral hardening, attributed to a reflection component and observed in Seyfert galaxies, nor the excess absorption previous...
متن کاملHigh-Redshift, Radio-Loud Quasars
I discuss two programs to study radio-loud quasars at high (z ∼ > 4) redshift. Quasars are the most luminous, non-transient objects known and are observed to the earliest cosmic epochs. At lower redshifts, radio-loud quasars are associated with host galaxies having de Vaucoleurs profiles. By association, identifying and studying a sample of high-redshift, radio-loud quasars provides important c...
متن کاملXMM - Newton spectroscopy of high - redshift quasars
XMM-Newton observations of 29 high redshift (z>2) quasars, including seven radio-quiet, 16 radio-loud and six Broad Absorption Line (BAL) objects, are presented; due to the high redshifts, the rest-frame energy bands extend up to ∼ 30–70 keV. Over 2–10 keV, the quasars can be well fitted in each case by a simple power-law, with no strong evidence for iron emission lines. The lack of iron lines ...
